the photo is of karen and i last week at the elephant theatre in hollywood. larry , my bro, and i are about to perform in Josh Fardon"s comic opera, "something not real".
i just awoke to karen's phone beeper. dark and rainy here in victoria heights. met up with steve at roberston and pico starbuck's last night on home from a massage client in mandeville canyon.
altman seemd to be considering a vote for meg whitman. or maybe he was playing devil's advocate. meg whitman, who did not vote for decades, suddenly wants to be not just a citizen , but the head citizen in california. great, tell you what , meg. do your civic duty for a few years and Vote! then come back and talk to us. or don't ...
meg whitman , the very rich lady who fired her immigrant maid of nine years, at the drop of a hat, with no severance. sheesh. we havent even discussed her political views and i dont like her as a candidate.
karen just set the coffee down next to me on a ledge here at the fireplace, "why thank you. who ever thought your fireplace would be such an elaborate coaster.." karen laughs.
she is such a great audience.
i spoke of steve altman's love of jacuzzi. and how that could solve our backyard design questions. above ground jacuzzi, boom! existential dilemma? jacuzzi!!
workout?...jacuzzi!!!
work issues? jacuzzi!!
steve altman loves his jacuzzi, he has made many repairs on this device that he initially viewed as an credit card debt albatross around his neck. an ex -roomie used his card to make the un authorized purchase.
i also need to eat green stuff today. yesterday was just brown stuff. i am Count Chlorophyll ! "I need to suck some Chlor-i fee l wight now! BOOOHAAAA"
Lost in Fantasy football yesterday monrning. dont like that. but it made me adverse to watching any more TV the rest of the day. so i got a lot of stuff done. cut down half of a half dead tree out front. karen's dad, gunther , has a car park next to the tree. it's all beat to crap so i didnt worry ro much if the tree fell on it. as it turned out i was fairly dextrous in dispatching half this thin at 630am in the morning.
after being defeated in FF, i was also able to cut the lawn , harvest some apples and persimmons, trim some bougainvillea , and add more bricks to trim flower bed on the side of the house. with regards to the bricks , i learned that using a pick to dig is fine, but one needs to take stock of any really hard objects that are encountered. i tend to bull ahead. not good. could be a gasline, or a waterpipe. tak e heed fellow , enthusiastic home dwellers.
